Baltimore symphony orchestra names first Black music director
The 107-year-old Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has named 31-year-old Jonathon Heyward as its first Black music director. Heyward is the youngest music director at any of America’s top-tier orchestras and he says his goal is to captivate a younger audience. NBC’s Joe Fryer reports in this week’s Sunday Spotlight.
